How to export your clients from GlossGenius
GlossGenius exports your client list as a CSV in two clicks. Here's where to find it, what the file contains, and how to bring it into SpaSphere.
- How it works
- Built-in export
- File you’ll get
- CSV

Before you start
What you’ll need
- Your GlossGenius account owner login
- A web browser — the export isn't in the mobile app
- About five minutes
Step by step
Exporting from GlossGenius
- 1
Sign in on a web browser
Log in to GlossGenius on a computer. The export is only available in the browser, not the mobile app.
- 2
Open your client list
Click Clients in the navigation menu.
Clients
- 3
Export the list
Select Export Clients. Your client list downloads as a .CSV file right away — there's no waiting and no support request.
Clients → Export Clients
- 4
Split the Name column
GlossGenius puts each client's full name in a single Name column. Open the file in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets and split it into First Name and Last Name columns before uploading.
In Google Sheets: select the Name column, then Data → Split text to columns → Space.
What comes with your export
- Name (first and last together in one column)
- Phone
- Date of Birth
- Banned status
What may not come across
- Client notes — GlossGenius doesn't include these in the export. You can email support@glossgenius.com to request them separately.
- Appointment history
- Client photos
- Tags and categories
Saved payment cards
Saved payment cards never transfer through a client export — at any platform. Card details are held by payment processors under PCI rules, not in your client list. Clients add a card again on their first visit.
Who can run this export
Account Owner only. Team members can't export the full client list — staff can request only the clients they've personally seen, through GlossGenius support.
Before you upload
- Split the Name column into First Name and Last Name.
- Check that each client has either an email or a phone number — rows with neither can't be imported.
- If you want your client notes, email GlossGenius support before you close your account.
Last step
Importing into SpaSphere
- 1
Open the importer
In SpaSphere, go to Settings → Import & Export and choose to import clients.
- 2
Upload your file
Select the file you exported. SpaSphere reads the column headers and matches them to the right fields automatically.
- 3
Check the column matching
You'll see how each column was matched before anything is saved. Adjust any that look wrong, then confirm.
You don't need to rename columns before uploading. SpaSphere recognises the common variations — "Mobile Phone", "Cell", "Phone Number" all map to the same field — and shows you the matches before importing.
Where these steps come from
We checked GlossGenius's own documentation on September 17, 2026. Platforms change their menus, so if something looks different, trust what's on your screen.
