How to Set Your Spa Business Hours in SpaSphere

Configure your weekly business hours, mark closed days, and sync availability with your booking page.

Your business hours in SpaSphere control when clients can book appointments on your public booking site. They define the operating window for your entire business, and every team member's availability is constrained within these hours. Setting them accurately from the start ensures your booking page only shows times when your spa is actually open.

Why This Matters for Your Spa

Incorrect business hours are one of the most common causes of booking friction. If your hours are too narrow, you lose bookings from clients who want early morning or evening slots. If they are too wide, clients may book during times when no one is actually available, leading to awkward cancellations and a 15-20% increase in rescheduling overhead. Spas that align their listed hours precisely with their actual availability see higher booking conversion rates because clients trust that every slot shown is a real, available time. Over the course of a year, even a 5% improvement in booking conversion can translate to $8,000-$12,000 in additional revenue for a mid-sized spa.

Configuring Your Business Hours

1

Open the Business Hours section

Navigate to Settings > Business from the sidebar. On the Business Information page, expand the Business Hours accordion section by clicking on it. You will see all seven days of the week listed, each with a checkbox and time selectors.

2

Enable or disable each day

Each day has a checkbox next to its name. When checked, the day is open and shows start and end time selectors. Uncheck the box to mark that day as Closed. Closed days display a gray "Closed" label and hide the time selectors.

3

Set opening and closing times

For each open day, use the start time dropdown to select when your spa opens and the end time dropdown to select when it closes. Times are available in 30-minute increments from 12:00 AM to 11:30 PM, displayed in 12-hour AM/PM format (e.g., 9:00 AM, 5:30 PM).

4

Apply hours to all days (optional)

If your spa operates on the same schedule most days, configure Monday first, then click the Apply to all button that appears next to Monday's row. This copies Monday's start and end times to every other day that is currently marked as open. Days marked as closed are not affected.

5

Save your changes

Click the Save changes button in the sticky bar at the bottom of the page. Your business hours are saved as part of your overall business profile. The updated hours take effect immediately on your public booking page.

Use 'Apply to all' to save time during initial setup

Most spas use the same hours for their weekdays and adjust only Saturday and Sunday. Set Monday's hours first, click Apply to all, then individually tweak Saturday and Sunday or mark them as closed. This approach takes less than a minute compared to configuring each day separately, and it eliminates the risk of accidentally entering different hours for similar days.

How Business Hours Affect Bookings

Your business hours determine the overall availability window for your public booking page. Here is how they interact with other scheduling features:

  • Public booking site: Clients can only see and select time slots that fall within your business hours
  • Team member availability: Individual provider schedules are further restricted by business hours -- a provider cannot be available outside your business hours even if their personal schedule allows it
  • Calendar view: The admin calendar highlights your business hours and grays out times outside them
  • Appointment lead time: Combined with your appointment lead time setting, business hours define the earliest possible booking slot

Business hours set the outer boundary for all bookings

If you set your hours to 9 AM - 5 PM but a provider's last service starts at 4:00 PM and runs until 5:30 PM, clients cannot book that service starting at 4:00 PM because it would extend past your closing time. Make sure your business hours account for the duration of your longest service. If your longest treatment is 90 minutes and you want the last appointment to finish by 6 PM, set your closing time to 6 PM and your booking system will automatically prevent bookings that would run past close.
